All the stuff is in the directory : USERDISK:[UCL.ZTEST] on ZUKVS3 ==================== There is a setup file. To run multicrate type ZTEST ========== This uses link 0, if you need to change this you will have to edit the file ztest.com. As the test is running you will get several messages eg. card crate test starting; press SPACE BAR for status, CR RETURN to end ============================================ Test start info 1 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 2 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 3 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 4 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 5 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 6 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 7 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 8 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 9 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test start info 10 0 0 TP 1 crate 1 Test complete TP 1 crate 1 The above is taken from a single crate test, with the multicrate you shoudl get similar messages from each crate. When you have received a " Test complete " message from each crate press CR RETURN to end the test and display the results. =============== ( this can be done at anytime, but obviously the test will not have done as many loops ). The table columns are : ======================= crate number LTC serial number FAIL ( if there are errors in any card in a crate this is indicated here ) number of loops and then 19 columns for slots 2 to 20 in each crate. If a zcard is present in a slot this will be indicated by ========================================================= o for an old zcard and n for a new zcard. Any errors are indicated by a number immeadiately following the o or n. Table extract : =============== +-----+----+----+-----+----+----+----+----+----+ |Crate|LTC | | | |Num |Ser.| | +----+----+----+----+----+ | |Num.|FAIL|loops| 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | +-----+----+----+-----+----+----+----+----+----+ | 1 | 5 |FAIL| 10 | | | | |n999| | 2 | 0 | | 0 | | | | | | The above shows a new zcard in crate 1 slot 6 with 999 errors. The maximum number of errors shown is limited to 999, so if you see an error count of 999, it is probably safe to assume there are more than 999 errors. Another point, when you run the test, it puts your terminal into 132 column mode to fit the table on the screen. Ian ! !
